On the afternoon of May 17th, Xie Tiankai, Vice Chairman of Guiyang Institute of Information Science and Technology, and his delegation including Guo Linhua, Secretary of the Party Committee, Tang Jianrong, President, and Luo Weidong, Vice President, came to our school for exchanges and guidance. The school leaders Lyu Guofu, Lyu Quan, Chen Yingyong, Zhang Yong, and Gou Xianmao attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Luo Bing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of GZUC.
At the meeting, Lyu Guofu firstly extended a sincere welcome to Xie Tiankai and his delegation on behalf of the school, and expressed heartfelt thanks to Guiyang Institute of Information Science and Technology for its long-term concern and support for the school's work. He briefly introduced the history, discipline characteristics and development goals of our school, and focused on the achievements we have made in teaching management, campus construction, discipline construction, talent cultivation, “Brand Construction” of party building and other aspects since the “13th Five-Year Plan”, and deeply explained the school-running characteristics of our new business.
Tang Jianrong gave a detailed introduction to the application-oriented schooling model named “three plus one” issued by Guiyang Institute of Information Science and Technology, which consists of tree parts：“Integration between Industry and Education, Cooperation between Schools and Enterprises, Combination of Learning and Working”. Meanwhile, he shared his experience in party building, quality improvement project of education and teaching, the construction of teaching platform, the construction of faculty, the construction of industry college, the construction of campus culture and other aspects.
Xie Tiankai pointed out that the two universities have a long and profound historical relationship. He hoped that the two sides would integrate new business and new engineering disciplines, establish a good working mechanism, focus on cooperation in party building, discipline construction, scientific research, etc., steadily promote and implement relevant matters, and strive to achieve more fruitful results from the cooperation between the two universities.
Lyu Guofu emphasized that the cooperation between the two schools has a bright future with broad space for cooperation. He hoped that both sides would fully mobilize and utilize the resources of the two schools in the principle of “Complementary Advantages, Mutual Benefit, Equal Cooperation and Common Development”, draw on each other's strengths, carry out multi-channel, multi-level and all-round exchanges and cooperation in party building, discipline construction, platform construction, scientific research, campus culture and other aspects, make new progress in collaboration between the two schools, raise the work of both sides to a new level and achieve new achievements.
The heads of Department of Teaching and Scientific Research and Department of the Party and the Masses of Guiyang Institute of Information Science and Technology, as well as the heads of relevant departments of Guizhou University of Commerce, attended the meeting.
