On June 15th, the Academic Seminar on "Technology Empowering Regional High-Quality Development" was held at GZUC. The seminar was co-hosted by GZUC and Science China Press. The theme of the seminar was "Technology Empowering Regional High-Quality Development." It aimed to explore and exchange ideas on how technological innovation can drive and lead high-quality development in the region, accelerate the construction of Guizhou Province with strong characteristics in science and technology, and provide powerful technological support for the modernization of Guizhou. The seminar was presided over by Luo Bing, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Guizhou University of Commerce.
At the venue, several distinguished speakers delivered keynote speeches. They included Jing Yaping, Director of Guizhou Provincial Big Data Development and Management Bureau, Qin Zhankui, Deputy Inspector of People's Government Development Research Center of Guizhou Province, Dr. Lu Dazhuang from the Research Office of GZUC, Dr. Zhang Jun, from the School of Computer and Information Engineering of GZUC, Tang Huang, Vice President of Science China Press and Scientist Magazine, Bu Lan, Secretary of Baiyun District Committee in Guiyang City, and Chen Jing, an expert in communication and information systems, a prominent pioneer in China's space surveillance technology field, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Academician Chen Jing delivered a speech titled "Exploration of Deepening Application of Big Data: New Demands, Opportunities, Challenges, and Thinking, as well as Analysis of Deepening Application of Commercial Aerospace Big Data." He succinctly elaborated on the essence, value, and applications of big data from four aspects.

Qin Zhankui gave a speech titled "Improving Transportation and Logistics Conditions to Facilitate Regional High-Quality Development," in which he discussed how Guizhou relies on technological innovation to streamline the water transport system. This aims to accelerate the construction of an integrated modern comprehensive logistics transportation system, known as the "Water-Rail-Road" network, and the integration of port production parks. These initiatives are intended to support Guizhou's diverse endeavors in writing a new chapter in modernization.

Tang Huang delivered a speech titled "Walking Hand in Hand with Innovation: Media Integration Development and Service Innovation in the New Era." From the perspective of media responsibility, he introduced the integration development, communication platforms, and service innovation of Science China Press. This demonstrates how Science China Press keeps pace with the times and takes on the responsibility and mission of gathering media strength to promote scientific and technological work.
